Se enfoca en treinta y siete de los llamados megasistemas acu\u00edferos y presenta una imagen macrosc\u00f3pica de su estado y relevancia sobre la base de atributos tales como dimensiones espaciales, geolog\u00eda, reservas de aguas subterr\u00e1neas, renovaci\u00f3n de aguas subterr\u00e1neas, contenido mineral, extracci\u00f3n de aguas subterr\u00e1neas y agotamiento del almacenamiento. Obviamente, esta informaci\u00f3n es de poca utilidad para fines pr\u00e1cticos a nivel de campo, dada su naturaleza agregada y la falta de detalle espacial.
