On April 26, 2022, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. (CT), the Permanent Forum of Binational Waters hosted a special Coffee Break session focused on the development of sustainable water infrastructure in the US-Mexico border region.

The session featured Fernando Barrera, Associate Director of Financial Services for Corporate and Public Sectors at the North American Development Bank (NADBank). He shared insights into the bank’s binational efforts to finance and promote infrastructure projects that ensure long-term water security and public health.

NADBank plays a crucial role in enhancing water infrastructure in the US, especially in communities along the border. These investments include wastewater treatment, drinking water systems, stormwater management, and climate-resilient facilities.
