Aridification of the Southwest of the US and North of Mexico
On May 24, 2022, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. (CT), the Permanent Forum of Binational Waters hosted a Coffee Break session on the growing aridification of the Southwest of the US and northern Mexico.
This region is facing long-term shifts in precipitation and temperature, reducing surface water, stressing aquifers, and transforming ecosystems. The event explored scientific, institutional, and policy responses to this slow-moving crisis.
