Can Binational Cooperation Solve the Challenges of Transboundary Water Governance?

On May 18, 2021, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. (CDT), the Permanent Forum of Binational Waters hosted a Coffee Break exploring binational collaboration for the improved management of transboundary waters, specifically groundwater resources shared by Mexico and the United States.

The session titled “Overcoming Divided Governance” brought together key voices from water law, binational agencies, and academia to discuss institutional challenges and solutions for jointly managing shared aquifers.
