We would like to share the upcoming Ph.D. defense of Saman Ebrahimi at Arizona State University.

The dissertation, “Towards Enhanced Hydrological Representation of Arid Agriculture-Dominanted Transboundary Basins with Earth Observation and data Assimilation”, explores how Earth observation, data assimilation, and AI can improve hydrological modeling and water management in arid transboundary basins, with applications to the Middle Rio Grande Basin.

This research may be of interest to members working on transboundary water management, remote sensing, hydrologic modeling, and sustainable agriculture.

    Date: Tuesday, July 29, 2026.

    Time: 1:00 PM (Arizona Time)

Location: WCPH, Room 192 (Arizona State University)

    Zoom: https://asu.zoom.us/j/88613270900

Congratulations to Saman, and best wishes for a successful defense!
