This month, the Permanent Forum of Binational Waters will join hundreds of nonprofits across South Texas in The Big Give 2025 —a 24-hour online fundraising event that brings our community together to make a lasting impact.
From September 17 at 6:00 PM through September 18 at 6:00 PM (CT), supporters can make their gifts online and help us continue strengthening binational cooperation on shared waters across the U.S.–Mexico border.
Why The Big Give 2025 Matters for Binational Water Cooperation
One of the most exciting features of the Big Give 2025 is the Matching Minutes. During these brief windows—just one to five minutes long—every online donation up to a certain amount is matched dollar for dollar until the matching pool runs out.
That means your $50 gift can instantly turn into $100 of support for binational water cooperation.
To make the most of these opportunities, we encourage all our supporters to:
- Mark your calendar with the 14 scheduled Matching Minutes.
- Be ready to donate right at those times to maximize the impact of your gift.
Even if you can’t give a donation during a Matching Minute, your contribution at any time during the 24-hour event still supports our mission of protecting and managing shared water resources.
Four Ways to Give During The Big Give 2025
Through our The Big Give profile, you can make a donation starting from $10, and also choose from four suggested giving levels—each tied to a core part of our mission:
- $500 – Help fund science-based initiatives that strengthen binational cooperation.
- $1,500 – Help us foster collaboration in one of the world’s most vital economic regions.
- $3,500 – Help address critical water challenges along the U.S.–Mexico border.
- $4,500 – Support education on water and the environment across the U.S.–Mexico border.
