Responsibilities:
- Identify new financing avenues by researching and monitoring potential grants and funding sources from government agencies, foundations, and international organizations.
- Develop compelling proposals in both English and Spanish, ensuring they include persuasive narratives, detailed budgets, and comprehensive work plans aligned with funder requirements.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective funders.
- Collaborate with our internal teams to gather necessary information and align proposals with the Forum’s capacities and needs.
Requirements for the job opportunity
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Communication, Public Administration, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in grant proposal writing, ideally focusing on environmental, water or binational science projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and research funding criteria.
- Demonstrated project management knowledge related to water conservation, sustainability, and cross-border initiatives.
